Outlook 2016 Update for January 2017

A Rollup Update has been released for Outlook 2016. This is a non-security update which contains 10 documented improvements and fixes.

Most notable fixes are:

  • When you have more than 30 calendars in a calendar view in a Citrix environment, Outlook freezes. To fix this issue, you’ll need to set the ResetViewThrottle Registry value.
  • Assume that you right-click an email message from a distribution list and select to create a rule for email messages from the distribution list. When you receive an email message from a member of the distribution list, the rule does not work as expected.
  • Synchronization issues of email, calendar, and contacts for upgraded Outlook.com accounts. Attachments and email messages may be missing.
  • The “Download Public Folder Favorites” setting does not work in Outlook 2016.
