A Rollup Update has been released for Outlook 2010. This is a non-security update which contains 5 improvements and fixes.
Most notable new changes and fixes are:
- When an application other than Outlook loads MAPI, the application may crash. This issue occurs if the mailbox connection uses the MAPI over HTTP transport protocol.
- Public folders, online archived mailboxes, or shared mailboxes may disappear from the folder list in Outlook 2010.
When you search an item in a shared online contacts folder in Outlook 2010, you receive the following error message:
”The attempted operation failed. An object could not be found.”
Update: Outlook 2010 could crash after installing the latest round of updates. This is actually caused by update KB2825678 for Outlook 2013 which could get installed when you also have Office 2013 applications installed. For more information see: Outlook 2010 crashes if the update from KB 2825678 is installed.
Update 2: This issue has been fixed in the May update of the Facebook Provider KB3054782.
Note: This update is also offered via Microsoft Update or already installed automatically for you when Microsoft Update is configured to also update other Microsoft applications.
