Outlook 2010 Update for December 2015

A Rollup Update has been released for Outlook 2010. This is a non-security update which contains 5 documented improvements and fixes.

Update:
This update is no longer available due issues. After installing it, Outlook may only start in Safe Mode and doesn’t save any changed configuration settings.

This issue has been corrected in update KB3114560. You don’t need to uninstall KB3114409 first but can either install it directly by downloading the update via the KB article or via Windows Update.

Most notable new changes and fixes are:

  • Adds administrative support to prevent Outlook 2010 from booting into safe mode via the DisableSafeMode Registry value.
  • When you send a message programmatically, the email address of the recipient isn’t being added to the AutoSuggest cache. You can now set the EnableNicknameWithOM Registry value.
  • If an appointment or a meeting length is less than 24 hours but it spans across midnight, it’s displayed as two appointments or two meetings in the Month view.
