Slipstream Office 2007 setup with SP2
When you slipstream Service Pack 2 with your Office 2007 installer, Office 2007 will be directly installed at Service Pack 2 level saving you the trouble of applying it afterwards. All you need is Office 2007 Service Pack 2 and the installation CD of Office 2007.
- Download the administrative version of Office 2007 SP2 and save it to C:\o2k7\
(click here for a language other than English) - Extract the office2007sp2-kb953195-fullfile-en-us.exe file to C:\o2k7\sp2\
Start-> Run and type;C:\o2k7\sp2\office2007sp2-kb953195-fullfile-en-us.exe /extract:c:\o2k7\sp2\extract - When you get a User Account Control (UAC) prompt, press continue or provide administrator credentials
- Accept the EULA of the Service Pack
- Insert your Office 2007 CD and copy its contents to C:\o2k7\CD
- Copy all the files from the C:\o2k7\sp2\extract\ to the Updates folder in C:\o2k7\CD\
- When the copy is finished you can write the contents of C:\o2k7\CD\ to a CD or DVD and you’ll have an Office 2007 SP2 slipstreamed CD (or DVD)!
Note 1: If you have the Enterprise version of Office 2007 then you can set additional installation options and settings (such as inserting the license key, accepting the EULA and pre-configure an Outlook mail profile) by using the Office Customization Tool (OCT). To start this tool start setup.exe from the Office 2007 CD with the /admin switch.
Note 2: You can follow these instructions as well to include the hotfixes.
