AT&T account “Enter Network Password” prompt

If you have an e-mail account at AT&T such as domains ending with @att.net, @bellsouth.net @pacbell.net or @sbcglobal.net, you might have been receiving repeated “Enter Network Password” prompts in Outlook (any version).

This could also happen in a mail client other than Outlook as their appears have been a recent change to their mail server configuration.

Fix for Exchange Management Console with IE9 bug

If you are an Exchange 2007/2010 administrator and are using the Exchange Management Console (EMC) on a computer/server with Internet Explorer 9 installed, you probably have run into the following error when trying to close the EMC;

You must close all dialog boxes before you can close Exchange Management Console.

Outlook hangs caused by recent PayPal messages

A recent change in the PayPal notification messages can cause Outlook to hang for a couple of minutes. The issue is caused by an invalid picture reference in the message and the way Outlook deals with time-outs.

A quick fix would be to disable the Reading Pane and delete the message. If you need to keep the message, you can easily fix it by deleting the offending image from the message itself or by editing your HOSTS file.
