Hotfix KB2544027 for Outlook 2010 re-released

Hotfix KB2544027 was basically a SP1 remake of hotfix KB2540106 but was pulled afterwards as it could cause Outlook to crash under certain conditions. A fixed version has now been re-released which includes even more fixes for other issues as well; 31 in total!

Most notable fixes are;

  • Multiple fixes for when you are using Outlook in an Office 365 environment.
  • Multiple fixes for when you are using Outlook in a BPOS environment.
  • Multiple fixes for when you are using Outlook with multiple Exchange accounts in a single profile or an Exchange 2010 online archive.
  • Multiple fixes for Calendar issues.

Obtaining the hotfix
Since these are hotfixes and not regular updates, you won’t be offered this update via Microsoft Update but will have to request it. You can do this at the information page of the hotfix.

If you are not (seriously) effected by any of these issues, it is recommended to wait for the next Service Pack or regular Rollup Update which will most likely contain all these fixes as well.
