Outlook 2010 Security Update for March 2016

A Security Update has been released for Outlook 2010. In addition to resolving the vulnerability, it also contains 2 documented improvements and fixes.

  • Resolves the vulnerabilities mentioned in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS16-029 which could allow remote code execution if a user opens a specially crafted Office file.
  • Outlook may stop responding when you have more that 30 Calendars in the calendar view in a Citrix environment. You can now set the ResetViewThrottle Registry value.
  • Appointments that start and end on different days will be displayed as multiple meetings in the Month view in Outlook 2010. (Reverts the behavior to how it was before the December 2015 update KB311409)
