October 2010 Hotfixes for Outlook 2007

New Hotfixes have been released for Outlook 2007.

KB2412273
This hotfix contains 15 fixes. Most notable fixes are;

  • Auto reply rules via a local template do not send messages.
  • Printing monthly calendars do not show appointment end times.
  • Printing a message with tracking info will always print the tracking info on a new page.
  • New Mail Desktop Alert Window configured via a rule do not show.

KB2436196
This hotfix solves an issue where an memory leak may occur when previewing RTF messages or calendar items.

This hotfix solves an issue for embedded images not showing in a message when you are using a Proxy Server that uses Basic Authentication.

Since these are hotfixes and not regular updates, you won’t be offered this update via Microsoft Update but will have to request it. You can do this at the information page of each hotfix.

If you are not (seriously) effected by any of these issues, it is recommended to wait for the next Service Pack or regular Rollup Update which will most likely contain all these fixes as well.
