 MAPILab Disclaimers for Exchange

MAPILab Disclaimers for Exchange is a solution for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010 intended for the centralized management of signatures and disclaimers in corporate mail messages.

MAPILab Disclaimers for Exchange will help not only to meet email messaging standards and requirements, but also will transform each outgoing message into an effective marketing tool by adding the necessary text and graphic information about your company.

By the means of the product’s embedded visual editor the process of creating and editing of disclaimers/signatures becomes much easier, and the convenient system of rules will allow to apply necessary signatures to the selected divisions of the company or to certain employees.

The product consists of two components – management console and transport agents installed onto Exchange servers.

Product Features:

  • Visual editor with support of all types of files (html, rtf, txt) will allow to create necessary disclaimers and signatures quickly.
  • Different signatures for different users: the system of rules consisting of conditions, actions and exceptions enables to create unique signature templates, and apply them to separate users or groups of users.
  • Integration with Active Directory and possibility to use macros (phones, addresses, names of divisions etc.) in signature templates will enable to create signatures with dynamic content.
  • Ability to insert images into the signature such as company logos, banners etc.
  • Built-in tester will allow to preview the created signature or notification in a real message and to verify correctness of settings of disclaimer application rules.
  • A special centralized monitoring system of the current status and overall performance of the product. The entire system of rules can be controlled from a single console.
  • The installation process and product management is unified for all Exchange versions. Product installation and deployment is performed with the help of a convenient installation wizard, while management (setup and adjustment of message selection rules for application of necessary signatures) is carried out by means of the console. The company-wide product deployment is possible from any single computer/server, which could be also used to setup and adjust rules for all Exchange servers in the company.
  • You don’t need different solutions for different versions of Exchange servers: MAPILab Disclaimers for Exchange works with Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007/2010.

 Attachment Save for Exchange

Attachment Save for Exchange is a solution for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010, designed for automatic processing of emails and attached files.

The product allows saving/deleting messages and attached files based upon specified criteria directly while message passing (sending/receiving) through Exchange server.

For example, such standard messages like notifications of a placed order are regularly received by server. Order data is in the attached PDF-file. For convenient storage of order data it is reasonable to save such PDF-files in specially intended folder on server or local computer.

The other example is the following: IT-regulations forbid some employees or company departments sending files of a certain type (name, extension) via email. Attachment Save for Exchange should automatically prevent violations of regulation by deleting the forbidden files during message receiving on Exchange server. However, the message itself should be sent although it should include the notification about deletion of forbidden attachment.

The product consists of two components: Management Console and transport agents set on Exchange servers.

Suitable system of rules consisting of conditions, actions and exceptions should allow setting criteria for processing both incoming and outgoing messages and attached files.

Attachment Save for Exchange processes email messages and attached files of all types.

Product features:

  • Multiple setting of message processing rules provide huge possibilities to catalog the saved messages and attachments: you can save only those elements you really require selecting by file type and name and placing them in corresponding storages.
  • Special system for centralized monitoring of the current product status and total performance of the application. Control over the whole system of rules could be done from one console.
  • The installation process and product management is unified for all Exchange versions. Product installation and deployment is performed with the help of a convenient installation wizard, while management (creation and setting of rules for saving/deleting messages and attached files) is carried out by means of the console. The company-wide product deployment is possible from any single computer/server, which could be also used to setup and adjust rules for all Exchange servers in the company.

News Outlook Connector upgrade loop

Microsoft has begun sending out upgrade notices for the Outlook Connector. However, it appears that the download link given still points to the old Outlook Connector version (version 12.1).

The result is that the installation will prompt you to Repair or Remove the Outlook Connector or that after you install the version given by the download link, you’d still be prompted to upgrade when you start Outlook again.

To get rid of the endless loop, download the latest version of the Outlook Hotmail Connector (version 14.0) from the correct location;
Download: Outlook Hotmail Connector 32-bit
Download: Outlook Hotmail Connector 64-bit
Note: You will only need to install the 64-bit version when you are using the 64-bit version of Outlook 2010.

The installer should automatically upgrade any old version that you might have installed. In case that doesn’t work, uninstall the Outlook Connector manually first via Control Panel-> Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP) or via Control Panel-> Uninstall a program (Windows Vista and Windows 7).

If you are still having issues then, remove the Hotmail account from Outlook, restart Outlook and then add the Hotmail account again.
