     MessageExport (24 July, 2009)

MessageExport is an add-in for Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007 that lets you quickly and easily save Outlook email messages to many different formats. MessageExport can also automatically copy your messages to a folder, a Sharepoint Server Library, zip file, or printer. Just choose your messages, then select the format from the MessageExport window.

Supported Export Formats;

  • PDF
  • MSG
  • EML
  • HTML
  • MHT
  • TXT
  • GIF
  • JPG
  • MBOX

MessageExport makes project based workers more efficient. Users can setup custom profiles that can accomplish a number of tasks that they may be performing manually.

For example, if you are working on a special project and need to export certain messages in PDF format to a specific Sharepoint library, need to compress and encrypt the PDF files into a single zip file using a standard password, want to extract file attachments, remove the source messages and call a shell command after export, a custom MessageExport profile can be created to accomplish all those steps in virtually a single a single click.

MessageExport can also compress the exported documents into a single zip file, optionally apply password protection, and then copy it to a designated location, such as a local folder, network location, or even a Sharepoint server library.

HowTo     Create a button for a macro (20 July, 2009)

When adding some custom functionality to Outlook or to perform repetitive tasks more quickly, it often can be achieved by creating a macro in the VBA Editor of Outlook. However, access to the option to execute a macro is a bit buried in the options and dialogs of Outlook or sometimes completely hidden by default. This of course negatively affects the purpose of some macros; to be able to perform repetitive tasks more quickly.

This guide will introduce how you can create a button for your macro in the various screens of Outlook.

     FixMyBars (6 July, 2009)

Outlook® can be extended by a various number of additional software (add-ins). Many of them install their own tool bar and the user moves this to a different position. But after a restart of Outlook® they return to their original places.

FixMyBars brings order to your tool bar chaos and arrange your bars like you want. The usage is very simple: Move the bars to the places you want, call FixMyBars and click on the save symbol. Next time you start Outlook® all bars will be arranged like their saved positions (may be in some cases the width can differ but the positions will remain).

Furhter product features:

  • Overview of the existing bars
  • Moving bars by a drop down list and a scroll button
  • Fade out not wanted bars
  • Works also in contacts, e-mails etc.
  • Automatically deleting of the buggy file “outcmd.dat”

     CopyFolder (6 July, 2009)

When matching data with mobile devices there is often the problem that only standard folders can be synchronized. However, as a rule also newly created folders (and/or public folders) should be transferred to the mobile device as well.

CopyFolder was developed for this case. With CopyFolder you quickly and easily copy the content from one Outlook® folder into another one. In doing so, data can be filtered by categories and thus commercial and private data can be separated.

Further product features:

  • Several copy jobs possible
  • Copying from folder A to folder B
  • Fast switching of copying direction
  • Replication of folder A and B
  • Automatic program start when starting and/or closing Outlook®
  • Automatic program start every X minutes/hours
  • Program start controled by the calendar
  • Detailed activity log

Save time and use CopyFolder instead of handling inconvenient drag & drop actions.

     ShowMailHeader (6 July, 2009)

The internet header of an email indicates the sender and the path the email has taken. This information can especially be used to detect SPAM. With a bit of excercise and the adequate tools for server analysis you will find out a lot of interesting information.

In Outlook® however the display of this information is not just inconvenient but also confusing. ShowMailHeader neatly displays the header with one mouse click on the program symbol.

Further product features:

  • Displays header information of all marked emails in 1 file
  • Systematic filtering by special header elements
  • Entry of custom header elements (can also be filtered)
  • HTML output directly in Outlook® (from 2003 and higher) or in the internet browser
  • Information is printable

Use ShowMailHeader in order to quickly and neatly display specific information.
